Felt is a versatile nonwoven material with many applications; its unique abilities to cushion, seal, insulate, filtrate and resist long term stress make it the perfect choice for furniture, mattresses and automotive industries, among others.

MINET's felts are configured in single or multiple layers and may have different widths, thicknesses, densities and hardness. The latter value is set according to technical application, by controlling the parameters of the production equipment and using the suitable raw materials. Our felts have excellent pulling and tearing resistances and a high tenacity. Other characteristics include: high acoustic and heat insulation and excellent permeability.

When blended with other materials, felt helps generate a new category of products named composites. These can be made by combining layers of different materials or by using a mixture of fibers with different properties. Since they maximize the qualities of their constituents, composite materials are multifunctional and highly performant. MINET's composites have superior resistances, enhanced durability and excellent filtration, insulation and resistance properties.

Geosynthetics are man-made polymeric products with different forms and methods of manufacture, that cover a broad range of civil, geotechnical, transport, environmental, hydraulic and private land development applications, including roads, airport runways, railroads, embankments, retaining walls, reservoirs, canals, dams, erosion control, sediment control, landfill liners, landfill covers, mining, aquaculture and agriculture.

The polymer-based structure of the geosynthetic materials makes them suitable for use in terrains where high levels of stability and durability are required. They can also be used in exposed applications, acting as impermeable fluid/ gas barriers.

Our line of Geosynthetics includes the following main categories: geotextiles, geogrids, geonets, geomembranes, geocomposites, including bentonite geocomposites and geocells.

Geomembranes are impermeable products with excellent physical, mechanical and chemical resistance properties. They are used as liners and covers of liquid and solid containment facilities such as landfills, pits, irrigation ponds, wastewater treatment ponds and lagoons etc.

Geogrids are commonly made of polymer materials, having high tensile strength and superior load distribution across large areas. As such, geogrids are used primarily for soil reinforcement as well as in retaining walls and pavement construction.

Geocells are made with high density polyethylene or elastic resin to ensure consistent, longer lasting performance. Being flexible and lightweight materials, they are easy to install and provide the benefit of high impact resistance. Therefore, geocells are cost-effective solutions widely used in construction industry for soil stabilization and erosion control as well as structural reinforcement of heavy-duty support roads.

Geocomposites are a combination of different types of geosynthetics, resulting in a new, separate material.  Geocomposites perform the same range of functions as those applied to geosynthetics: drainage, separation, reinforcement, filtration, erosion control and fluid/ gas barrier

Geonets are open grid-like materials, consisting of interconnected sets of polymeric strands. Given the in-plane porosity of the resulting network, geonets perform well in drainage, being able to carry large flows of fluids or gases of all types.

Voluminous nonwovens are excellent lining and filling materials, applied to a wide range of products in different industries: upholstered furniture, garment, quilted pads, quilted mattresses etc.

Geotextiles are ideal for draining, separation layers, filters, embankments and slopes reinforcing, etc. The great advantage of geotextiles is that construction works are made in a simplified way leading to increased productivity.
